CITA seeks to integrate technological and pedagogical advances into teaching-learning processes through solutions applicable in face-to-face, semi-face-to-face and virtual environments to contribute to the improvement and enrichment of UCG's pedagogical proposals with innovative models and systems.

• Define, direct and coordinate technology and innovation policy.

• Define the development strategy for the use of Educational Technology, both Pedagogical and technological.

• Support pedagogical and technological innovation anticipating future trends.

• Establish programs and actions to promote and strengthen the capacity for innovation and technological development of the educational system.

• Exchange and disseminate innovative experiences linked to the inclusion of new technologies for the improvement of pedagogical practices at the university.

• CITA collaborates with the Faculties, the Systems Department and the other departments of the UCG, in the identification of needs and opportunities for the development of educational technology projects that promote processes of improvement and pedagogical innovation.

• CITA creates digital work environments that can be used by various chairs, as a priority.

• CITA is working on the implementation of a continuous training program in new technologies and education for all UCG teachers. , applications and digital environments in innovative teaching-learning proposals.

• CITA develops  and implements strategies and criteria to evaluate the educational innovations developed in relation to new technologies, as well as to disseminate the experiences built among UCG teachers.

• CITA offers consulting services to educational institutions and organizations in the public and private sectors in the area of technology for learning.

• Produce teaching support tools: videos, tutorials, training programs , etc.

• Acquire hardware and software suitable for use in educational applications.

• Maintenance of updated databases on technology and pedagogy.

• Consultancy and permanent technical support to teachers in the creation and implementation of teaching support products.

• Development of intermediate-advanced level courses, seminars and conferences aimed at the application and use of modern multimedia equipment, products and instructional material.

• The center will have rooms specially equipped with modern technology capable of modifying learning environments, motivating all the senses.

• Produce teaching support tools: videos, tutorials, training programs , etc.
